About Turning Point Scotland – Dundee Service
Turning Point Scotland’s Dundee service provides support to individuals with a variety of support needs including learning disability, physical disability, autism, mental health illness and community justice. We offer supported living services, housing support and day opportunities to promote independence and choice, enabling access to education, employment and social activities, support with developing relationships and maintaining a home. We work in partnership with service users, their families, health teams, social work teams and advocacy.
Support Practitioner – Responsibilities
Provide practical and emotional support to adults with a wide range of needs, encouraging them to achieve personal outcomes in daily life, including safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing. Support may include 1:1 sessions or teamwork with other staff.
Assist with personal care, cooking and housekeeping as required. The role does not require a valid UK driving licence or vehicle access.
Qualifications & Training
No previous working experience is required; full training will be provided. Values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity are essential. IT skills are required for all vacancies. Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
