We are seeking an experienced HR & Talent Manager to lead the development and delivery of people strategy across a growing group of businesses operating within the security and medical sectors, this role will play a pivotal role in aligning businesses and supporting the development of a high-performing and engaged workforce. This is a newly created role that will be key in bringing together multiple businesses into a unified group structure, ensuring alignment of policies, procedures, systems, and culture. Reporting to the Group General Manager and Board of Directors, the Group HR & Talent Manager will drive organisational transformation, foster an engaging employee brand, and ensure full compliance with UK employment law and industry-specific regulatory frameworks. The role will combine strategic leadership with operational oversight, ensuring visibility within all businesses and supporting business growth while embedding a consistent, high-performing people culture. The role will be based from our Manchester office, with UK travel which will include some overnight stays. Responsibilities for this role will include :- Implementation of a Group-wide HR and People Strategy aligned to business objectives and growth plans Lead the integration of multiple businesses into a single, cohesive group structure with harmonised HR frameworks Lead workforce planning initiatives to support operational efficiency Drive organisational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives Lead on TUPE process and delivery as the business grows Review and align systems across the business, to ensure consistent approach within all business area, project managing systems transfer, implementation and training. Oversee the implementation of HRIS or integrated systems to support scalability and data-driven decision-making Build strong relationships with all business leads through providing an approachable and proactive culture throughout the HR team Provide oversight and guidance on complex and high-risk Employee Relations (ER) cases ensuring consistent and legally compliant handling of disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters, through effective communication, coaching and training of relevant parties Oversee screening and vetting across the security businesses ensuring compliance with BS7858 vetting requirements Develop and implement a Group-wide recruitment strategy by sector to attract high-quality talent that reflects the needs of each business this include high volume recruitment strategies in line with seasonal business requirements. Oversee onboarding and induction frameworks to ensure a consistent employee experience Support design and implementation training and development strategies to support business growth including leadership development Oversee payroll, benefits, and HR administration to ensure accuracy and efficiency Establish HR metrics and reporting frameworks for group businesses Ensure robust governance and audit processes are in place across all HR activities Requirements The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience in a senior HR leadership role ideally within multi-site or group business structures (security/events/medical/retail sectors desirable), with a strong understanding of working with a large workforce in a fast moving business. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice with experience of managing complex ER issues and TUPE (essential) Excellent leadership and people development skills and a proactive people solutions focused are required with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders through maintaining a strong visibility within all areas of the business and with the teams. Current UK driving license is required as the role will involve travel to our offices across north west, midlands and south.
