Group Head of Quality
Location: North of England – ideally Yorkshire region / access to M1 corridor
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are well-established care providers with a strong reputation for compassionate, person-centred care. We are now seeking an experienced Group Head of Quality to provide senior leadership across our services and drive excellence in quality, governance, and regulatory compliance.
This is a strategic, influential role, working in close partnership with the Senior Management & Operations Team, supporting and shaping quality at group level.
The Role
As Group Head of Quality, you will:
* Provide senior, group-wide leadership for quality, governance, and compliance.
* Work alongside the Operations and SMT to embed quality into operational and strategic decision-making.
* Lead CQC readiness and inspection activity, supporting services before, during, and after inspection.
* Drive continuous improvement to achieve and sustain Good and Outstanding outcomes.
* Provide assurance to senior leaders and the Board through robust quality reporting and governance.
* Lead and support services requiring improvement with targeted, practical action plans.
* Act as the senior quality and safeguarding lead across the group.
* Champion person-centred, dignified, and compassionate care across all homes.
About You
You will be:
* A senior leader with extensive experience in adult social care (care homes).
* Highly knowledgeable in CQC regulations, inspection frameworks, and governance.
* Experienced in leading quality improvement across multiple services.
* Confident working at SMT / group level, able to both support and professionally challenge.
* Calm, credible, and resilient in high-pressure regulatory environments.
* Passionate about quality, values-led care, and continuous improvement.
Desirable Qualifications (not all essential):
Level 7 qualification in:
* Health & Social Care Leadership
* Quality Improvement
* Healthcare Management
Audit / Quality Improvement training (e.g. PDSA, Root Cause Analysis, Clinical Audit)
Safeguarding Adults Level 4 or 5
Mental Capacity Act & DoLS / LPS advanced training
Infection Prevention & Control (advanced level)
ISO 9001 / quality management training
Risk management or clinical governance certificates
Clinical Qualification ie. RGN / RMN etc.
