GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Hathersage, S32. This role is ideal for someone who can create a positive learning environment and provide personalised support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities for SEN TA:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.
* Encourage positive behaviour and promote social and emotional development.
* Support pupils with EHCPs and implement personalised learning plans.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Requirements for the SEN TA:
* Previous experience working with SEN students (desirable).
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
