The post holder will:
 * Act as a chaperone for imaging tests.
 * Provide assistance to the operator during biopsies by preparing trolley using ANTT and assisting during the procedure as required.
 * Provide support for patients undergoing procedures.
 * Apply pressure following biopsies and perform post‑biopsy wound care.
 * Ensure that the environment is clean and tidy.
 * Carry out post‑procedural data input to Trust systems.
 * Support the service with maintenance of stock.
 * Possess the ability to drive between sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to provide a supportive role to the imaging team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to give the best quality of service by assisting radiographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks in the Imaging Directorate. A caring, co-operative and flexible approach to working practices is required whilst maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well‑being of the patient. Reception/clerical duties including data entry are essential elements of the role.

Job responsibilities
 * Trolley prep using ANTT.
 * Assisting in breast biopsies.
 * Wound care.
 * Emotional support for patients at a stressful and distressing time with difficult and lengthy procedures.
 * Working within the team and multi‑disciplinary team.
 * Ability to follow a specific system of work.
 * Frequent use and input on hospital patient management systems.
 * Reception cover.
Person Specification
Education
 * English and Maths GCSE pass or equivalent.
Experience
 * Experience of working in a healthcare setting – 2 for patient facing care role, 1 for admin role.
 * Evidence of good literacy – application form demonstrates good literacy skills, punctuation, grammar, logical sense.
 * Ability to follow a system of work – evidence of working in a team, multiple tasks within role/pathway, working within clinic setting.
 * Evidence of computer use and patient management systems.
 * Willingness to progress and learn – 1 for additional courses, 1 for additional duties, 1 for proactive behaviours.
