Career Overview
We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Campsie. We currently have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer.
Key Responsibilities / What you’ll do
Working with the relevant Lead Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, procedures and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment, working to set timelines.
* Plan, coordinate and implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and completed machines.
* Coordinate Production, Engineering and Quality Assurance Departments to establish and implement containment and root‑cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
* Implement best‑practice standard work onto shop floor.
* Create and maintain build/drawing packs in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders and New Product Development.
* Liaise with cross‑functional departments (e.g. supply chain, engineering, quality).
* Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including Line Balance, 5S, Poke Yoke.
* Ensure current processes and all new processes encompass safe working practices.
* Provide production support to the Manufacturing Department.
* Problem‑solving.
Qualifications & Education
Minimum HNC/HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on‑job experience.
Experience Level
* Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous.
* Competent in use of Microsoft packages.
* Experience with 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
* Knowledge of machine shop and fabrication would be advantageous.
* Excellent multi‑tasking and attention to detail skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Good organisational skills.
* Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
* Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
