Manager/ Associate Manager – Modelling – Infrastructure Advisory This position is a part of the Infrastructure Advisory (IA) team within Strategy and Transactions and works both in the government and private sectors. The IA team provides advisory services across the infrastructure value chain to EY’s onshore Infrastructure Advisory practices located in ASEAN, Japan, Oceania, US, Canada, UKI, Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM) and China. As a part of service delivery, the portfolio of services provided by the IA team include: Financial modelling and study – building and reviewing long term project finance models Building and reviewing project finance and/or M&A models and Bid models Bid evaluation support, including financial capacity study, ad hoc financial study, techno-commercial study PPP research for policy development and documentation Business Cases and Cost Benefit Analysis Business Development support in terms of proposals and pre-sales research Market research Business Development support: Industry factbooks and Points of View Client Infopacks Financial study The opportunity The EY GDS SaT Infrastructure Advisory team is seeking an experienced infrastructure sector professional with exceptional financial modelling capabilities at a Manager/ Associate Manager level to join our team. The person will support advisory engagements in the transport, health and human services, and power and utilities sectors. Your Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Work with onshore EY practice offices on high-quality deliverables such as: Project Finance model build and review Project Finance model enhancement and sensitivity study Cost benefit study as part of feasibility studies/ business cases Perform detailed reviews of financial models, arrive at preliminary conclusions and present the findings in a report format to clients Steer client discussions, ensure exceptional quality during engagement delivery, build relationships and support onshore practices in generating new business Maintain strong communications with the clients in practice offices Guide team members on engagement delivery and business development activities Grow and manage a region/ geography to drive revenue growth Managers will be responsible to manage a team of 6-7 people and act as a counsellor for team members by being responsible for their performance Measure, monitor and improve client service by closely collaborating with the client and guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery Manage workflow within the team including work allocation, adherence to timelines and quality reviews Manage billing for engagements delivered Travel abroad on assignments, as required Identify L&D requirements for the team Travel on assignments abroad, as required Skills And Attributes For Success Good academic background preferably with a professional qualification in finance/ accounting/ CFA/ FRM and solid understanding of corporate finance Experience in one or more infrastructure sectors - power & utilities, including renewables, transport, and social infrastructure, etc. Strong quantitative skills with the ability to understand financial statements and build three statement financial models in Excel. Exposure to VBA will be preferred. Knowledge of PPP/ PFI modelling is preferred Exceptional economic and financial modelling skills with a demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative study A good working knowledge of accounting, financial statements, and financial study Have strong knowledge of excel functions Knowledge of Alteryx and Visualization tools (preferred) Ability to use research databases like Factiva, Thomson ONE, Capital IQ, BMI etc. Exceptional analytical, problem solving and presentation/ report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers Exceptional business writing skills Exhibit thoughtfulness and problem-solving skills Good project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to coach and mentor team members on writing, technical skills and soft skills To qualify for the role, you must have Post Graduate in the areas of environment, sustainability, energy or related field Management/ MBA/ CFA/ FRM from a reputed college/ University. Professional qualification in Finance / Power / Infrastructure Management will be preferred.
