Adnodd, a Welsh Government arm's length body, leads and coordinates educational resources in Welsh and English to support the Curriculum for Wales. The Opportunity
As the Head of Communication and Strategic Engagement, you will develop and implement communication, marketing, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Your role includes enhancing Adnodd's brand reputation through PR, media relations, and collaboration with strategic partners. You will also utilize data and insights to improve engagement strategies aligned with our strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and execute Adnodd's Communications Strategy, ensuring inclusive and impactful messaging.
2. Manage external communications including social media, newsletters, web content, and media relations.
3. Enhance internal communication to support staff alignment and promote inclusivity.
4. Drive stakeholder engagement by building partnerships across the education sector, Welsh Government, media, and underrepresented communities.
5. Monitor and evaluate communication activities to improve effectiveness and value.
Candidate Profile
* Experience in leading communication, PR, or engagement strategies, preferably in education, public service, or non-profit sectors.
* Ability to create clear, bilingual content from complex ideas.
* Proficiency with digital tools, media relations, and multi-platform audience engagement.
* Strong project and budget management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship building.
* Passion for education and bilingualism.
* Degree or relevant professional qualification (preferred).
* Fluent in Cymraeg (Welsh) and English.
