We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Vegetation Team Leader to join our Lowlands Operations team. You will lead a small vegetation team in carrying out vegetation and ground care activities, re grass cutting, pesticide treatment and tree management throughout the network across the central belt of Scotland.
The role is offered on a permanent basis, and with a starting salary of £30,069 (Band C). Working hours are 35 hours per week pro rata to suit the business requirements. Currently the rota pattern is 5 days working out of 8.

Primary Responsibilities Of The Role
* Set staff to work safely and ensure daily safety tasks are undertaken via risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
* Provide a high level of work ethic setting appropriate standards for staff
* Carry out POWRA audits regularly
* Delivery of weekly work priorities set in agreement with supervisor and manager
* Provide a record of photographic evidence of works undertaken
* Provide a high level of customer service standards
Qualifications And Knowledge Required
* Good numeracy, literacy skills and computer skills
* Valid driving licence appropriate for vehicles to be driven with the endorsement to drive plant/equipment trailers (clean driving licence preferred)
* Valid qualifications and certification to operate agricultural and arborist plant/equipment and pesticide apparatus
Skills And Experience Required
* Experience of working within the arborist and ground care environment
* Experience of leading a team
* Relevant heritage and environmental awareness
* Experience of working with contractors etc
* Co-operate with and support team members from other teams, volunteers and third parties
Qualities & Abilities Required
* Positive attitude and setting high standards and quality of work
* Good organisational skills
* Effective communicator
* Problem solver
* Multi-tasker
* 7-day operation which will require flexible working via an agreed working rota pattern as per the business requirements
* Participation in a Stand-by roster will also be required
