Events Support Assistant – Part Time and Term Time
At Education Business Partnership (EBP), each year we help a wide range of businesses to meet their objectives through the programmes we develop and deliver with them. We harness the value from nearly 4,000 volunteer hours and over 1,000 work experience placements for the benefit of young people across the region.
We are looking for a part-time Events Support Assistant to join our Developing Skills Team and team on a fixed-term contact until 31st August 2026, with the likelihood of being renewed into the 26/27 academic year (dependent on funding)

Key information:
14 hours per week – To be worked over 2 x 7 hour days, on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (as preferred) to start in November 2025
£12.21 per hour - Actual salary for 12 months £7,452 (Full time equivalent £22,222)
38 weeks per year - Following the West Berkshire term dates
This role will require the successful candidate to:
· Work closely with colleagues in the Developing Skills team to gain an understanding of school' requirements and programme objectives
· Support Developing Skills Team Project Officers on event days in schools in the Thames Valley, Swindon and Wiltshire
· Contact relevant businesses via telephone, email, via networking events etc to engage them with EBP's work to assist with successful delivery across multiple projects
· Update trackers and databases regularly to ensure visibility of progress towards targets/ against delivery plan
· Follow up on contacts made through networking events/other meetings etc to secure business volunteering opportunities and funding developing skills team workshops
· Prepare and transport resources to schools (this will involve some form of manual handling)
· Other duties as required, for example: administration of developing skills team projects, administrative support to colleagues, generating resources, generating and sending correspondence
You must have:
· Demonstrable experience working in, or with, the business sector
Proven track record in delivering to customer requirements and to deadline
· Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiating ability, tact and diplomacy to promote good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Experience of working on multiple consecutive projects
· Competent I.T user (Office suite)
· Good attention to detail
· UK driving licence (own car)
It would also be helpful if you have:
· Previous experience in an administrative role
· Good geographical knowledge of the Thames Valley
· Working knowledge of the education sector
· Knowledge of current developments within education
