IDAM Delivery Lead
Duration: Initial 6 months
Contract: Day Rate Inside IR35
Location: Reading (Hybrid) 2 days per week
Caraffi are working in partnership with one of our clients in the recruitment of an IDAM Delivery Lead to join the team on an initial 6 month contract with a view of an extension to support the delivery of the agreed IDAM strategy and associated strategic initiatives.
The role is to drive the selection of a partner to define a future-ready IDAM strategy, covering core identity controls and next-generation AI-ready security, while delivering targeted improvements to strengthen the hygiene and security of the existing identity estate.
The IDAM Delivery Lead will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's future Identity and Access Management (IDAM) capability. The role will lead the end-to-end RFP process to identify and onboard a third-party partner to develop an enterprise-wide IDAM strategy.
The strategy will cover the core foundations of identity security, including Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), identity hygiene, and the broad adoption of MFA and Single Sign-On (SSO), while also defining the next generation of identity controls required to enable the safe, responsible, and secure use of artificial intelligence across the organisation.
In parallel, the Delivery Lead will be responsible for delivering targeted improvement initiatives within the existing identity estate, focused on reducing risk and strengthening control maturity. This will include initiatives such as identifying and remediating privileged accounts, improving identity hygiene, and replacing weaker authentication methods (eg SMS/phone-based authentication) with stronger, more resilient alternatives.
