Job Description:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Alliance, working in partnership with Rutland County Council, to support the planning and delivery of high-quality early years sessions to improve the life chances of children. The role is flexible to cover the Alliance team’s annual leave and absence. Do you have a passion to support families and give children the best start in life in Rutland? * 28 pro-rata days annual leave
* Employer and employee contribution pension scheme
* Regular access to internal and external learning and development opportunities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, focused, and universal sessions, including evaluating all sessions and activities to encourage parental engagement in children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
* Ensure children are supported to reach a good level of development
* Plan early years sessions to meet EYFS and Ofsted standards, supporting vulnerable children and those meeting key priority targets of the Children’s Centre quadrant
* Cover planned and unplanned leave of the Lead Early Years Educator and Early Years Educator
* Qualifications: NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent, a health and social care degree with relevant early years modules, or Early Years Teacher Status
* Proven effective communication skills, both in person and in writing, with professionals and teams
* Knowledge of early years and EYFS
* Experience with multi-agency approaches involving professionals, early help, and social care teams
* Understanding of Children’s Centres and national services for children aged 0-5
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Office, internet, and email

Hours per week: As needed

Weeks per year: 52
