About the vacancy
We are looking for both part-time and full-time administrators to join our Student and Programme Support (SPS) Team at our Frenchay Campus. This role is offered on a permanent basis.
As an SPS Administrator, you will work collaboratively with academic and professional service teams to deliver a high-quality service supporting students throughout their academic journey, from arrival at UWE to graduation and beyond.
About you
We seek an enthusiastic individual with extensive administrative experience in a professional office setting. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands are essential.
The ideal candidate will have good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience working with complex database systems. The ability to manipulate data and produce basic reports is crucial.
Teamwork and effective communication skills are vital, as is the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the university.
Customer service excellence is central to our values, and you should demonstrate a client-focused approach, contributing to providing an exceptional experience for our students.
Flexibility, adaptability, and professionalism are required, especially during busy periods. You will receive support through a comprehensive induction and ongoing training opportunities.
About Student and Academic Services
Our team of over 250 staff is dedicated to enhancing the student experience, working closely with university departments, the Students’ Union, and external partners. The SPS team manages student records from registration to graduation, including assessment processes such as supporting course registration, managing assessments, clerking exam boards, and publishing results. Building effective relationships within the team and across levels is essential.

This campus-based role requires at least 60% campus presence, with the option to work from home occasionally.
Salary offers will align with the university’s guidelines based on skills and experience. Please note, we do not sponsor visas under the Home Office Skilled Worker route, and costs are not covered by UWE Bristol.
