My Client are recruiting for an Operations Engineer in the Water Sector
Field-based around North West (ideal location M6 - Preston)
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in giving our customers the best in class quality service. You will provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support to existing water treatment chemical customers.
Some more brief responsibilities of an Operations Engineer are:
1. To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers.
2. Provide service, chemical treatment analysis, monitoring and account management to existing customers/contracts.
3. Provide Legionella control and ensure customer compliance with ACOP L8.
4. Provide customer recommendations for best working practises.
5. Gather information in preparation for client review meetings.
6. Review site water services risk assessment.
7. Gather site information and compile site log books for customers, maintain and audit.
8. Initiate water treatment program on new accounts and commission new dosing/control installations.
9. Completion of risk assessments, work reports, and all other documentation.
10. Look for opportunities and where appropriate to sell parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work, working with the appropriate sales team.
11. Feedback to customers on future product development, features and functions and show how they will add value to their business.
12. Provide updates to line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company, seek guidance and support as required to ensure the service provided to our customers is a priority.
General requirements for the role:
13. A HNC/degree or similar in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry qualification or similar or qualified by experience.
14. GCSE or equivalent - English and Maths.
15. A full UK driving licence is required.
16. Excellent time management skills.
17. It is important that candidates must have knowledge and experience of chemical water treatment e.g. Cooling Tower / Boiler Water Treatment / Legionella Awareness.
18. Experience of having worked as an Operations/Service Engineer or in a Technical Support role or laboratory experience.
19. Passionate about providing a first class service to our customers.
20. Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.
21. Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
22. Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
23. A good level of IT competency.
24. Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
25. Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
