Phantom Screens UK is the exclusive UK distributor of high-quality retractable insect and solar screens, serving both homeowners and trade customers. We’re a small, close-knit team with a reputation for premium products, exceptional customer-focussed service and innovative solutions.
Based near Peterborough, Phantom Screens is part of the REH Companies network, a successful group of companies spanning the property, industrial manufacturing, construction services and consumer goods sectors.
With the UK market continuing to grow, we’re also looking to expand overseas.
The Role
We’re looking for an energetic, commercially-minded Sales & Business Development Manager to take overall responsibility for our sales performance – while remaining hands-on with selling. This is a player–manager role: you’ll be actively developing new business and managing key accounts, as well as shaping and delivering the sales strategy. Being part of a small team means you’ll have real influence and visibility across the business.
You’ll also provide day-to-day line management, guidance, and support to our Sales Administrator to ensure smooth sales processes and an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets across retail, trade, and export channels
2. Proactively develop new business leads and follow them through to sale
3. Manage and grow relationships with existing trade partners and distributors
4. Identify and pursue export opportunities
5. Input into strategic direction, planning, pricing strategy and agree discounts within agreed parameters
6. Provide day-to-day line management, guidance, and support to the Sales Administrator / Customer Service team member
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
7. Proven track record in field sales, ideally within blinds, home improvement, building products, or a related sector
8. Experience dealing with trade and retail customers, international sales experience would be desired but not essential
9. Strong business development skills and the ability to close high-value deals
10. Confident managing your own pipeline while being accountable for overall sales targets
11. Commercially astute, with an understanding of margins and profitability
12. Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team environment
13. Experienced in supporting and managing one team member alongside your own responsibilities
14. Willing to travel within the UK and overseas as required
15. Self-motivated and proactive with bold ideas, and able to work with minimal supervision
In return we are offering:
16. Base salary between £40,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
17. Commission/bonus scheme providing a realistic OTE between £50,000 - £60,000
