Children’s Charity Trustee (Volunteer)
We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our Board of Trustees and help guide the future direction of our organisation.
Working alongside an experienced Trustee Board, a highly skilled Senior Management Team, and a dedicated workforce, you will help shape the strategic direction of an organisation committed to delivering exceptional care and support to young people and families across the region.
What we are looking for:
We welcome applications from individuals with a broad range of professional backgrounds and lived experiences. We are particularly committed to increasing the diversity of our Board so that it better reflects the communities and young people we serve.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with expertise in one of the following areas:
* Strategic leadership in children’s social care services
* An experienced public law solicitor or barrister
* Strategic leadership in business or entrepreneurial expertise
About the Role
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in providing strategic leadership, oversight, and support to the organisation. You will help ensure we continue to deliver on our vision and mission while maintaining strong governance and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* Helping to shape and steer the organisation’s strategic direction
* Supporting the governance of a large and complex organisation
* Understanding the distinction between governance and operational management
* Contributing strategic and creative thinking to Board discussions
* Setting clear organisational objectives and monitoring performance
* Acting as an ambassador and role model for the organisation’s values
* Encouraging excellence and motivating others to achieve high standards

The first interview will be a Safe Care/Warner style interview, followed by a formal interview if successful. An enhanced DBS check is required for the role. This will be funded by Break.
