About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Foston Hall, a closed category women's Prison and Young Offenders Institution located in the village of Foston in Derbyshire, England.

Hours
37.5 hours a week working on a rota basis, Monday to Friday 7am‑7:30pm (flexible). Expected to work 1 in 5 weekends.
Salary
The salary ranges between £34,428‑41,658 per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Requirements
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high‑quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
* Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison service’s needs.
* Promote safe patient care.
* Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications
We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for a fair and inclusive healthcare access to all.
* Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
