Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation based in Chester to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant.
Reporting to the Head of Finance this is an exciting opportunity to take accountability for Financial Accounting across the establishment. You will be responsible for; producing statutory consolidated financial statements, monthly management accounts, annual audits, financial control processes, compliance reporting, budget preparation and forecasting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead financial accounting, and year end processes to ensure delivery of timely and accurate external reporting.
2. Oversee the year end close down of accounts and lead in the preparation of Financial Statements and Annual Reports.
3. Technical lead on financial accounting, ensuring accurate reporting in line with UK accounting standards.
4. Monitor upcoming changes in accounting standards and reporting and lead the implementation of such changes where required.
5. Lead and manage the preparation and submission of a range of other external reporting.
6. Co-ordinate the preparation and submission of Corporation tax returns for all group entities.
7. Lead the day-to-day relationship with external auditors during both interim and year-end external audit.
