We are working with a highly respected, fast-growing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing facilities nationwide. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work in East Anglia, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of new build industrial schemes based in Ipswich.
The Role
You will play a key role in the commercial management of industrial developments from procurement stage through to final account, working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to ensure financial performance and project success.
1. Large-scale warehouse and distribution centres
2. Industrial and logistics hubs
3. Manufacturing facilities
Key Responsibilities
4. Assisting with full commercial management of new build industrial projects
5. Procurement and management of subcontract packages
6. Preparing and managing interim valuations
7. Cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
8. Supporting final account negotiations
9. Contract administration (primarily JCT)
10. Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities
About You
11. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
12. Exposure to new build industrial / logistics projects preferred
13. Strong understanding of JCT contracts
14. Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
15. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
16. Driven, organised, and keen to progress your career
