We provide the critical components for life-changing medical technology (for example: cochlear implants) and play a vital role in the evolution of the automotive, defence, and research industries. Wherever cutting-edge science meets real-world application, Goodfellow materials make the impossible possible.

Our Communications team is the voice of this innovation, ensuring our technical expertise is accessible, authoritative, and optimised for discovery.

In addition to focusing on exciting content opportunities, you will also play a key role in supporting the sales and marketing teams in the development of marketing activities and supporting the business at industry events. You will engage with online technical communities, contributing to discussions and driving awareness of our products and be a key member of the team while growing the presence of Goodfellow brands globally.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Write and refine technical content for our website, including news and blog posts, white papers, case studies, product descriptions, and application guides.
SEO Strategy: Optimise content for SEO to improve search rankings and visibility.
Technical Storytelling: Research and write authoritative content, such as explaining how specific materials help industries perform critical tests or achieve breakthroughs.
Community Engagement: Actively participate in online technical communities (e.g., Reddit, LinkedIn Groups), contributing expertise and fostering meaningful discussions.
Collaboration: Work closely with scientists, engineers, and product managers to ensure scientific accuracy in all published content.
Market Awareness: Stay up to date with industry trends to create relevant, high impact content.
Team Support: Support the Marketing Communications Manager by attending exhibitions, trade shows, and supporting the Marketing Team on ongoing activities.
Social Media: Manage social media content from live events to engage with attendees and customers.
Key Requirements

Education: A degree in a scientific field is essential. While a degree in Materials Science is preferred, candidates with degrees in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Experience: 1–2 years of writing experience, preferably in a technical or scientific setting (this can include academic work, personal blogs, or portfolios).
Communication: Strong writing skills with the ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible language.
Digital Skills: An understanding of SEO principles and best practices for technical content.
Passion: A genuine interest in engaging with online technical communities and a deep love for science and storytelling.
