Job Description:
As a Despatch Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all products are packaged, labelled, and despatched efficiently and to the highest standard. You will be responsible for preparing components for shipment according to customer and internal specifications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all orders are handled safely and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
* Packaging steel components in line with customer and internal packaging instructions.
* Checking, sealing, and labelling all despatch materials accurately.
* Preparing and maintaining despatch paperwork and shipping documentation.
* Operating a forklift truck safely (training provided if required).
* Managing and monitoring stock levels of packaging materials.
* Conducting visual inspections to ensure product quality.
* Working closely with production and quality teams to resolve any issues promptly.
* Keeping work areas organised and compliant with health and safety policies.

Skills & Experience:
To be successful as a Despatch Operator, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in despatch, packaging, or a similar manufacturing environment.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* The ability to follow written instructions and technical drawings.
* Basic computer and documentation skills.
* Physical ability to handle lifting and movement of materials.
* A valid FLT licence (training provided if not held).
