This is a broad operational quality role where you will focus on goods in inspection, supplier NCRs, surveillance across manufacturing, route card compliance, and ensuring quality processes are followed. Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer Operational Quality Control Carry out goods inwards inspection including document checks and physical verification Support patrol inspection across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly areas Ensure route card compliance and process adherence across all manufacturing stages Assist with traceability control and inspection documentation accuracy Raise and manage supplier NCRs including investigation and evidence collection Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve shop floor quality issues Supplier Quality and Compliance Review supplier documentation including inspection records and certifications Liaise with suppliers regarding NCRs, corrective actions, and improvement plans Support supplier surveillance for machining, fabrication, and assembly processes Monitor supplier performance and communicate risks or concerns to the wider quality team Quality Assurance and Improvement Support internal audits to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and relevant standards Assist with continuous improvement projects across quality systems and procedures Contribute to root cause analysis using 8D, 5Y, or similar methodologies Support development and refinement of procedures and operational controls Assist in preparing documentation and lifetime records for project delivery About You You are an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong interest in operational quality. You enjoy being close to manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and fabrication. You value accuracy, documentation, and process control. You communicate well with engineering, suppliers, and production teams. You are methodical, structured, and take pride in improving quality at source.
