* Thursday - 08:00am - 13:30pm
* Friday - 07:30am - 13:00pm
Please be aware there is also overtime available to cover annual leave and sickness.
Main duties of the job
Working within a small reception team to answer telephone calls from patients, monitor econsult online queries, interact with patients face to face at our front desk, deal with administration queries and any other duties given.
Previous experience of working within a GP surgery or medical setting is desirable but we welcome applications from candidates who have exceptional customer service and administration skills.
You should have previous experience of:
* Working both face to face and on the telephone with the public.
* Working with IT systems
* Knowledge of Microsoft packages

Job responsibilities
Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the receptionist. There may be onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:
* Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
* Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
* Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
* Signpost patients to the correct service
* Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
* The filing of internal and external letters using Docman10
* Photocopy documentation as required
* Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
* Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessary
* Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
* Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
* Carry out system amendments as requested
* Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
* Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
* Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
* Action incoming emails using Outlook
* Complete opening and closing procedures
* Assist with the training of new staff

Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Customer Services or business administration.
* Experience with working with IT systems
