Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer - Fife, Scotland
This role focuses on the execution of New Product Introductions (NPI) on circuit card and mechanical assemblies. The NPI Engineer will ensure successful introduction of new products into Manufacturing through robust manufacturing principles and processes. All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and have a minimum of 5 years UK residency.

Responsibilities
* Technical and Manufacturing Engineering lead on NPI Builds, owning execution to schedule, cost, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices
* Engage at all stages of the NPI process from bid/proposal through to execution of NPI Builds and product release into full-rate production
* Participate in DFM and manufacturability analyses and reporting
* Use manufacturing data to identify issues and drive systemic root cause and corrective action
* Identify, expedite, and/or escalate quality or performance issues
* Identify skills training or development requirements and escalate through management
* Report and maintain Manufacturing Engineering metrics; track performance against team KPIs and individual goals/objectives
* Use metrics to optimize processes
* Support Program Cells and the broader Engineering community when required
* Qualifications: minimum HND level in Manufacturing / Production Engineering or related discipline
* Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes across technologies, processes and production platforms
* Broad understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design and operation
* Contribute to improvements in production programs' effectiveness, efficiency, and optimization
* Understand and promote Design for Excellence (DfX) principles
* Lead/participate in process FMEA development, design reviews, and risk mitigation
* Understand principles of Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing
Desired Skills
* Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly processes
* Experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing processes across a wide range of technologies and platforms
* Experience in Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environments is advantageous
