HR and Payroll Administrator – Sofina Foods Europe
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and organised HR and Payroll Administrator to join our team at the Scunthorpe site. This role is central to our people and operations, providing essential support to the HR Business Partner and ensuring our colleagues are looked after.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for HR queries, playing a key role in the employee lifecycle – from welcoming new starters to ensuring everyone is paid correctly. You will work closely with the wider HR team to deliver a professional, effective, and friendly service to all staff and managers across the business.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Support the Employee Lifecycle: manage recruitment administration, respond to applications, arrange interviews and prepare induction packs.
* Payroll Collaboration: monitor and resolve daily Time and Attendance queries to support payroll preparation.
* Data Integrity: accurately input and maintain information in Crown/Open People for new starters, leavers and absence records.
* Employee Relations Support: assist the HR Advisor with documentation for grievances and disciplinaries, and handle first‑stage meetings.
* Communication Hub: act as the first point of contact for the department, handle calls and queries, and keep notice boards updated.
* Reporting: produce regular, accurate reports and statistics to support the HR team’s activities.
* Team Collaboration: work closely with the HR team and other functions to share guidance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in HR Administration, with FMCG background an advantage.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Crown and Open People systems.
* Methodical, organized, keen attention to detail, and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Approachable communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to listen and build trust.
* Calm, rational, committed to continuous improvement and high standards of confidentiality.
