KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity, and performance.
2. Responsible for the safe supervision of the facilities and the health and safety of all facility users.
3. Provide effective, preventative lifeguarding of all pool sessions.
4. Carry out emergency action plans in the event of any accident or injury, including water rescues and first aid treatment in line with appropriate training.
5. Maintain physical and lifesaving training at the required level to comply with current Health & Safety regulations and other standards set by High Life Highland; participate in any training provided.
6. Assist with and supervise the efficient and safe operation of water and land-based activities.
7. Organise and lead activities and classes within the programme as required.
8. Encourage safe and acceptable user behaviour.
9. Ensure that all equipment is maintained to safety and cleanliness standards and set out safely when required.
10. Liaise with other users and centre staff on daily operations.
11. Regularly update yourself on all relevant written procedures.
12. Report any improvements to the centre manager or supervisor to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
13. Ensure the facility cleaning programme meets the required standards.
14. Carry out reception and cashier duties, including admission and cash control.
15. Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite.
16. Promote and sell High Life Memberships to potential customers.
17. Provide high levels of customer care.
18. Pursue continuous professional development and contribute to the improvement of Tain Royal Academy Community Complex and High Life Highland.
19. Attend and undertake relevant training, online or in person.
20. Strive to reduce wastage and uphold environmental sustainability in all tasks.
21. Support other areas of High Life Highland with projects, training, or cover during holidays or sickness, working cross-functionally across the team.
22. Work on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with prior notice for leave requests.
23. Perform tasks in accordance with policies and procedures, including GDPR, health and safety, and reporting concerns to management.
