A prestigious London-based university is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join its dynamic Operational Engineering team. This is your chance to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment where your expertise will directly support world-class research and education.
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving the performance of complex building systems. From managing reactive maintenance and supporting team development, to liaising with contractors and ensuring compliance with safety standards—your role will be varied, impactful, and essential.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Maintaining and recovering critical building systems
* Leading planned preventative maintenance
* Managing fault finding and emergency responses
* Supporting water management and stock control
* Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Occasionally working at height or in confined spaces
* Delivering a high level of customer-focused service
We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically skilled, but also a natural leader.
If you have:
* A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in M&E
* Managerial experience and strong MS Office skills
* A solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations
* Experience in complex building services
* The ability to work under pressure and without supervision
