A growing and highly regarded specialist law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor or experienced Fee Earner to join its expanding team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm with a strong pipeline of work, particularly from public sector clients, and to play a key role in the continued growth of the department. The role focuses exclusively on Property & Financial Affairs Court of Protection matters, offering the chance to develop deep technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Managing a caseload of Court of Protection Property & Affairs matters from instruction through to conclusion Acting on behalf of local authorities, deputies, and vulnerable clients Preparing and submitting applications to the Court of Protection, including deputyship applications Overseeing and managing client finances, including budgeting, reporting, and financial administration Liaising with families, care providers, and other relevant professionals Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards Supporting wider team growth and contributing to a positive team culture Candidate Profile Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced Fee Earner Proven experience handling Court of Protection Property & Affairs work Experience working with or acting for local authorities is highly desirable Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently Excellent communication and client care skills, particularly when working with vulnerable individuals A proactive, team-oriented approach What's on Offer Opportunity to join a rapidly growing and ambitious firm High-quality, consistent work from established public sector clients Clear progression opportunities as the team expands Supportive and collaborative working environment Flexible / hybrid working options Competitive salary and benefits package
