Quality Control Technician -Fabrication workshop – Heathfield Industrial Estate, Starts immediately Full time position - Day Shift 07:00-15:30 Salary: dependent upon experience Quality Inspector Resposibilities * Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping * Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations * Inspect steel fabrication work on shop floor and sign off as correct for weld specification, orientation, quality and dimensional checks * Read engineering drawings and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services * Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications * Liaise with production manager and workshop staff for timely completion * Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control * Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records * Recording of goods in and goods out * Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner * Collate completed engineering drawings from Workshop for database input Quality Inspector Requirements: * Steelwork and fabrication knowledge essential * Good working knowledge of MS Office * Good maths and technical skills * Good communicator * ...
