Milk Education are seeking a creative, passionate, and resilient Art Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Art, delivering engaging practical lessons across a range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
2. Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4
3. Develop students’ creativity, technical skills, and confidence in artistic expression
4. Teach a range of techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
5. Manage classroom and studio environments safely, ensuring correct use of materials and equipment
6. Use assessment data to track progress and support student development
7. Encourage experimentation, individuality, and creative thinking
8. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
9. Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
10. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
11. Specialism in Art – able to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
12. Strong classroom management skills
13. Good subject knowledge across a range of artistic media and techniques
14. Ability to inspire creativity and engage students of all abilities
15. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
16. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
