We are recruiting a permanent tearoom catering assistant for Grosmont Tearoom, reporting to the tearoom supervisor. The ideal candidate has experience in food preparation and service, is flexible with working hours, thrives in a busy environment, and can cover in the supervisor’s absence.
Responsibilities
* Assist in all aspects of food preparation and service to visitors and staff in a friendly, professional, and profitable manner.
* Cover in the supervisor’s days off, including opening, closing, and cashing up.
* Maintain cleanliness of the premises, including cleaning tables and keeping the tearoom well-stocked.
* Follow health & safety procedures, ensure good food hygiene practices, and maintain the level 5 food standard rating.

Working Hours
* This is a permanent position based on 1560 annualised hours, mainly during the main operating season (March – early November), typically 5 days over 7, including weekends.
* Additional hours may be worked during winter months, including train running periods.
