This consultancy provides project management and cost management services across a diverse range of construction sectors, delivering projects from early concept through to completion.
Their work spans commercial development, higher education, life sciences, industrial, hospitality, and major refurbishment schemes.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting clients with commercial management, cost planning, and procurement strategies, helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Role Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include: Leading cost management activities across a portfolio of construction projects Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts Managing procurement strategies and tender processes Producing cost reports and advising clients on financial performance Administering construction contracts (NEC, JCT etc.) Managing risk, change control, and value engineering processes Supporting clients with commercial strategy and cost advice Working closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery Mentoring junior team members where appropriate Candidate Requirements The successful candidate is likely to have: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager within a consultancy environment Experience working on construction or property development projects Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and commercial management Experience administering JCT or NEC contracts Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Ideally working towards or already holding MRICS / professional accreditation Whats On Offer Opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial consultancy Exposure to high-profile projects across multiple sectors Strong client engagement and autonomy Collaborative and supportive team environment Competitive salary and benefits package Clear opportunities for career progression About the Consultancy Our client is an independent project and cost management consultancy based in Bristol, supporting clients across the South West and South Wales. xjlbheb
