The Role As a Data Analytics Tester at Mtest Labs, you'll sit at the crossroads of data analysis and quality engineering. You'll work with real test datasets from client projects, build dashboards that tell the quality story, and apply data science techniques to surface actionable insights from complex test runs. What You'll Do Analyse test execution data to identify defect trends, coverage gaps, and quality risks. Build and maintain Power BI and Tableau dashboards to report on release quality KPIs. Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate data from test management databases. Use Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) to automate data cleaning, processing, and analysis. Apply ML techniques — regression, clustering, classification — to support predictive quality analytics. Perform time series analysis to track performance trends across release cycles. Validate and prepare datasets for AI/ML model testing and evaluation pipelines. Present clear, concise data findings to QA leads and client stakeholders. Continuously improve internal data reporting processes and tooling. What We're Looking For Proficiency in Python for data analysis — Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, SciPy. Strong SQL skills for data querying and database management (MySQL / SQLite). Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboard creation and reporting. Working knowledge of ML algorithms: Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, SVM, KNN, K-Means. Experience with Excel for data manipulation and analytical modelling. Familiarity with IDEs: Jupyter Notebook, PyCharm, Spyder, or Anaconda. Understanding of EDA, data cleaning, feature engineering, and cross-validation. Exposure to time series forecasting methods. A degree or Master's in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Bonus Points Experience with R language or SAS for statistical modelling. Awareness of software testing concepts, QA processes, or defect lifecycle management. Knowledge of NLP techniques or AI/ML model evaluation. Exposure to cloud platforms — AWS or Azure.
