What we need from you:
Time served with a minimum of 3-years post apprenticeship experience ( preferably coded MIG, TIG, and hard-facing capabilities)
Can read and interpret engineering drawings
Committed to a continuous improvement philosophy
Able to maintain a positive attitude towards work and colleagues
Flexible approach to work, conscientious and reliable
Able to uphold a teamworking ethic
Able to safely drive and hold a valid UK driving licence (capable of using non-HGV works trucks) for safe delivery of supplies and goods
Able to safely operate a forklift truck (forklift licence preferrable but not essential)
What this role involves:
Carry out safety checks on welding equipment, grinders etc on a daily basis
Grind, dress, and prepare component parts for welding
Ensure components are welded in line with the quality standard using best methods appropriate to each job
Ensure that all work is signed off appropriately when complete
Use an overhead crane and lifting equipment to load and unload component parts and finished goods
Assist in other areas, for example assembly of machinery, balancing work, factory maintenance, and planned improvements when required
Comply with the Companys Health, Safety and Environmental standards and maintain a safe working environment
Maintain housekeeping standards including cleaning tools, equipment, and work area
Salary: £15.80 per hour.
Hours: Working Monday to Thursday 8am 4.30pm and Friday 8am 3.30pm. *overtime rates Saturday time and a half Sunday double time Overtime variable to fulfil Customers requirements.
