Patient Services & Bookings Coordinator (Full time, Permanent & 12-month FTC opportunities)

Manage referrals, bookings and patient enquiries, ensuring accurate scheduling and a seamless, professional experience across the private patient journey.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Patient Services & Bookings Coordinator to play a central role in managing the private patient journey. Acting as a key point of contact for patients, referrers and clinical teams, you will ensure bookings are handled accurately, professionally and with care.

This is a fast-paced, people-focused role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a warm, patient-centred approach to communication.

We have 3 x Patient Services & Bookings Coordinator vacancies:

* 1 x permanent full-time
* 2 x full-time, 12-month FTC


Key Responsibilities

* Manage referrals and enquiries from GPs, NHS, insurers and self-pay patients
* Book patients into services, aligning with clinical needs and agreed timeframes
* Maintain accurate patient records and booking systems
* Support KPI reporting and service activity tracking
* Attend MDT meetings and record patient outcomes
* Handle self-pay enquiries, estimates and quotations
* Communicate clearly with patients and third parties to manage expectations
* Support high utilisation of consultant clinics and services
* Handle confidential information in line with data protection requirements
* Collaborate with administrative teams to gather and share documentation
* Provide ad hoc support to the management team as required


Professional Standards

* Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection compliance
* Demonstrate professionalism, empathy and attention to detail
* Work collaboratively while managing competing priorities
* Location: 1 Cygnet Road, Peterborough, PE7 8FD
* Contract: 3 vacancies: 1 permanent full-time and 2 full-time, 12-month FTC
* Hours: Shifts between 07:00 and 20:00, Monday to Sunday
* Salary: From £24,914 per year


Requirements

* Strong customer service experience, ideally in healthcare or a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
* Professional, patient-centred approach
* A-Level or equivalent (required)


Experience

* Medical secretary or patient tracking experience, minimum 2 years (required)
* Private healthcare administration experience, minimum 2 years (required)
