At Realise, we’re searching for people who are passionate about developing and supporting our learners to fulfil their potential with our literacy and numeracy programmes. Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Skills Trainer to join the team. This is a face-to-face delivery role teaching learners in community settings and the Realise skills hubs across the West Yorkshire area.
Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be:
- Ensure the successful completion, achievement and progression of all learners studying literacy and numeracy skills.
- Organise, plan, deliver, and evaluate teaching, learning and assessment at levels E3 through to Level 2.
- You will be expected to teach learners in group teaching sessions, occasionally there may be one to one teaching sessions required.
- Ability and willingness to respond positively and effectively to change and innovation
- To build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships with all clients

About You - Have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C for Maths and English, or equivalent
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills through Entry Level to Level 2
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS) or be willing to work towards
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation
- Experience and confidence in face to face delivery and also virtual/online delivery
