Adults Senior Occupational Therapist, SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
This role has a starting salary of £46,399 per annum, based on a 36‑hour working week (pro‑rata for part‑time staff).

The role involves conducting holistic assessments for social care needs and planning support across a dedicated caseload, working with families, carers and care workers.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will:
* Conduct assessments of mobility, safety, daily activities and specialist staff planning and medication review of residents.
* Use a strength‑based approach and apply assessments such as moving and handling risk assessments and intervention to support clients.
* Plan and deliver frontline occupational therapy practice within a social care setting, including equipment interventions.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, agencies and other organisations to provide an integrated service to vulnerable adults and their carers in a community‑based setting.

Shortlisting Criteria
* Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Experience working within a social care, health or community focused multi‑disciplinary setting
* Ability to complete person‑centred and proportionate OT assessments
* Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids
* Knowledge of medical conditions and the likely impact on the individual, carer and family
* Knowledge of current legislation, including the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act and its application to practice in a social care setting
* Substantial post‑qualification professional experience and experience of providing professional supervision
Requirements: A valid UK driving licence is required. Reasonable adjustments will be made for successful applicants with a disability or long‑term health condition.
