The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting, delivering, and leading teams focused on 'Right First Time' compliance. As part of the centre of excellence within the Wincanton EDF contract, the manager works cohesively across 6 sites, supporting multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure adherence to relevant legislation, Safe Systems of Work, Business Continuity Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures. The role is supported by an Auditor and Compliance Administrator and includes line management responsibilities.
The position reports to the contract’s Health and Safety Manager.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to employment, including providing a minimum of 3 years of consecutive UK employment, education, and residential history.

Day to Day
* Line management of the Compliance Team and indirect management of wider teams
* Leading all compliance, health and safety, and audit activities
* Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and Wincanton to uphold high standards of compliance
* Producing and reviewing reports regularly for diverse audiences
* Planning and coordinating risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work, Business Continuity Plans, audits, and management plans
* Updating visual aids to promote a Zero Harm Environment
* Fostering a positive health and safety culture by ensuring activities comply with legislation
* Ensuring operations adhere to company and government procedures and regulations
