Position Overview
This home-based role involves traveling within a specific region to deliver induction and development training to approximately five homes or hospitals. As a primary contact for new staff, Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and embody the Barchester ethos. The position offers the opportunity to witness staff progression from their first day onwards.
Requirements
1. Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, or experience working in social care
2. Knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector
3. At least 2 years of training experience
4. Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and deliver induction and development training aligned with Barchester objectives and statistics
2. Provide practical, hands-on training across various subjects
3. Plan and publish training calendars
4. Maintain up-to-date employee training records
5. Observe workplace practices
6. Prepare induction paperwork and assign buddies before new staff start
7. Maintain regular contact with new team members, offering coaching and support
8. Participate in external meetings and conferences as required
9. Promote learning and development opportunities offered by Barchester
10. Collaborate with Home Managers to implement personal development plans
