Paediatric Brain Injury Support Worker - Night shifts

Main duties of the job
The Paediatric Brain Injury Support Worker will be responsible for monitoring the client's condition through the night, delivering personalized care routines, administering medication, providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Previous experience supporting young children with similar conditions is essential, and relevant qualifications in health and social care are preferred.

Paediatric Brain Injury Support Worker – Sketty – Night Shifts
We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team on night shifts for our new client in Sketty, Swansea. Our client is a young male who has a brain injury, dystonia, and epilepsy. He is PEG fed and requires suctioning, so experience and/or prior knowledge and training for these are ideal; however, training can be provided.
Previous experience supporting young children is essential.
Pay: £19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring client’s condition through the night
* Delivering personalized care routines
* Administering medication
* Providing emotional support and companionship
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
* Paediatric experience, preferably in a similar role working with brain injuries, PEG, epilepsy, and dystonia
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work the specified hours
Job description
Hours available: 9pm – 7.30am, 7 nights per week.
Pay: £19 per hour.
