A warm and welcoming nursery in Southampton is seeking a caring Nursery Practitioner to join their team.
You will play a vital role in supporting children aged 0–5, helping them explore, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work alongside experienced staff to deliver engaging activities, support daily routines, and foster a love of learning through play and discovery.
Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:
* Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
* Assisting with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest times.
* Encouraging social interaction, communication, and emotional well-being.
* Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
* Working closely with colleagues and families to support each child’s unique needs.
* A kind, patient, and proactive attitude.
* Confidence working with young children aged 0–5.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Adaptability and a calm, nurturing approach.
* Experience in a nursery or early years setting is ideal.
* Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
