Job Opportunity: Vestibular Operational Lead at St Georges Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the physiotherapy service as part of the Neurosciences team at St Georges Hospital. The role of Vestibular Operational Lead involves professional leadership, line management, and development of the outpatient vestibular and neurology outpatient services. The post provides a direct link for professionals within the Audiological Medicine department, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care.
We seek an organized and enthusiastic physiotherapist with excellent clinical leadership skills in assessing and managing adults with neurological and vestibular disorders. You will lead the Neurology & Vestibular Outpatient team alongside your job share partner. The role includes managing a clinical caseload at an advanced level, with skills to assess, diagnose, and manage complex vestibular and balance issues. You will oversee the operational management of the physiotherapy team in collaboration with the Audiovestibular Medicine Department and Neurology Physiotherapy teams, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities include:
1. Operational management of the neurosciences physiotherapy service, including recruitment, training, and professional development plans for neuro physiotherapy staff.
2. Clinical leadership of the neurosciences physiotherapy service, providing expert support and advice to staff within and outside the organization, while maintaining a caseload of highly complex patients.
3. Providing expert opinions to managers to support strategic direction, utilizing principles of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance.
4. Identifying clinical research, audit, and data collection priorities to drive service development strategies.
