SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29
* Weekly Pay: £480 - £500
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (term time only)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
Long Term Futures is seeking an adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming, inclusive, two-form-entry primary school, rated Good by Ofsted, in Selly Oak. The role is long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.The Role
* Supporting children across Year 3 and Year 4 with a range of SEN needs.
* Provide small-group and 1:1 support for children with ASD,SEMH, communication needs and learning difficulties
* Support interventions focused on reading comprehension, writing, numeracy and social skills
* Help pupils stay engaged, regulated and confident in class
* Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt tasks and provide accessible learning
What the School is Looking For?
* Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD, communication needs, sensory needs and/or SEMH
* Ability to work across KS2 and support learning in Year 3 & 4
* Understanding of strategies for supporting communication, regulation and engagement
* A patient, nurturing approach with strong relationship-building skills
* Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 1 years' experience in a Primary School setting
