Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Plumber / Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Coldingley. The role is part of a self‑contained city culture, working Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven team to create a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners and administrators to maintain the safe and secure operations of the prison. Use your plumbing and mechanical skills to support the smooth operation of the facility, ensuring that every system functions effectively for prisoners, employees, and visitors.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 certificate in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
