ROLE PURPOSE The Interim Head of Site Facilities Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision and execution of facilities management across our estate. This position will lead the transformation of our facilities management operations, ensuring that our properties are not only safe, legal, and compliant but also aligned with our broader business objectives. The role will focus on enhancing operational performance, fostering innovation, and building high-performing teams that deliver exceptional service. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy that aligns with the organisation's overall goals, ensuring the effective management of lease end processes and the timely re-letting of properties. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Site Facilities Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Champion professional development initiatives to enhance team capabilities. Operational Excellence: Oversee the integration and performance of the new maintenance service provider, leveraging data analytics to drive efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. Ensure all reactive works are completed within agreed SLAs and promote a culture of proactive maintenance. Risk Management: Establish and oversee an Operational Risk Management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks across the portfolio. Ensure compliance with head-lease and statutory requirements, safeguarding the organisation’s assets. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Heads of Property Management and Asset Management. Collaborate to enhance operational delivery and the aesthetic appeal of the portfolio. Change Management: Lead the design and implementation of business change projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation. Effectively communicate changes to the team and stakeholders, facilitating smooth transitions. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of facilities management operations. Utilise insights to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE Essential: 7+ years of professional experience in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record in strategic leadership roles. Demonstrated expertise in building and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching and performance management. Experience in leading transformational change initiatives within a facilities management context. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation and reporting tools, including Power BI. A proactive and collaborative leader with a strong customer-centric approach. Proven experience in managing regional teams, emphasising data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. Ability to effectively translate and implement corporate strategy at the operational level. Desirable: Experience within a Estate Management, Property Management or Commercial Real Estate environment. Relevant qualifications in Facilities Management or a related discipline. Possession of a full and valid driving licence.
