Salary: Equivalent to £28,000 per annum

About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team on a temporary 3‑month contract. This role offers hybrid working with two days per week in the Birmingham office and is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and support the team during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Match, batch, and code invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
* Handle queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders professionally.
* Assist with month‑end close and provide support for audits as required.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial controls.
Requirements
* Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
