A primary school in Gillingham is seeking an experienced and focused Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join their team from April through to July on a fixed-term contract.
This is a key role supporting pupils in the lead-up to the end of Key Stage 2 assessments, helping to raise attainment, close learning gaps and build confidence during a crucial stage of their education.
About the Role
Delivering high-impact interventions aligned with the KS2 curriculum
Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs
Identifying gaps in learning and planning targeted support
Tracking and monitoring pupil progress
Working collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have a recognised Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
Hold GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents
Have strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Demonstrate experience supporting upper KS2 pupilsWe are looking for a confident practitioner with excellent classroom management skills, strong subject knowledge and the ability to motivate pupils to achieve their best.
