Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled Assistant General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. With an eclectic mix of properties and new openings to suit your personality and style, this really is an exciting time to join a people focused and progressive operations led business.
We're looking for a service focused DGM for the Duchess of Kensington, a recent new opening that has out-stripped all expectations, particularly on food. The ideal candidate should enjoy premium service, have a good knowledge of fresh food and seasonality, and enjoy selling good wine and enhancing dining experiences, as well as having all the core skills of a pub deputy general manager on the wet side of the business.
The Duchess of Kensington is an elegant pub located in the heart of Kensington, a stones throw from the Royal Albert Hall.
Offering a menu of elevated pub classics, strong passing trade and the draw of a nearby landmarks, expect a fast-paced all-day trade with a high food mix giving way to wet led evening in Kensingtons newest and most stylish pub.
The Role
As Deputy General Manager you will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue as if it were your own business.
Be business savvy and demonstrate great commercial acumen.
Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.
What we looking for:

Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
Must have minimum 2 years experience as a manager depending on the property being looked at
Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
Superb customer & floor service skills
Strong all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
An entrepreneurial flare
Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
Personal License holder beneficial
