Job Role: The Fabricator Welder will be involved in fabricating a range of steel components in the workshop using saws, guillotines, and plasma cutters. The role includes MIG and TIG welding, interpreting technical drawings, and working on bespoke structural, architectural, and sheet metal projects. Occasional site fitting work is required, with travel and overnight stays typically limited to no more than two nights at a time.
* Pay: Up to £18 per hour
* Hours of Work: 39 hours per week – 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 12:30pm on Friday
* Duration: Temp to Perm
* Overtime Rules: Overtime is paid at x1.5 of basic hours
* All working equipment, PPE, uniform, and safety boots provided
* Overtime available at enhanced rates

The role - Fabricator Welder
* Fabricating structural components.
* Plate perpetration, using different methods (Oxy – fuel gas cutting & Hand Grinding), pressure testing, drilling & lock fitting)
* Fit, fair and tack weld steelwork
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Operating various tools and machinery.
* Assembling the parts into a structure, usually by welding it, but sometimes using bolts and rivets
* Finishing off the assembly, using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface
* Ensuring high-quality standards are met.
* Following health and safety protocols
What our client is looking for in a Fabricator Welder :
* City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in fabrication or welding / Plating
* Proven expertise in fabrication and welding. ESSENTIAL
* Proven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL
* Previous experience with Heavy Gauge Fabrication/ Plating work- ESSENTIAL
* Significant experience in structural steel fabrication - BENEFICIAL
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
