Job Responsibilities As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions. Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils, ensuring inclusion and progress. Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. The role of SEN Teaching Assistant is vital in supporting children to reach their potential and thrive within the school community. Qualifications/Experience To be successful as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will need: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within a primary school. Strong knowledge of strategies to support children with autism, ADHD, or speech & language needs. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
